Japanese Drama/Pop Meme

Day 3: Your favorite j-drama.

I’m not  going to choose just one drama. That is not gonna work out for me. I’ll chose my top 10 instead in no apparent order.

Nobuta Wo Produce (my first Jdrama), Gokusen, Bloody Monday, One Litre of Tears, Orthros no Inu, Maou, My Boss My Hero, Hana Kimi, 1 Pound Gospel and Buzzer Beat. now lets talk about them.

Nobuta wo Produce: Now this was my first Jdrama ever and it was amazing, the show’s main theme was friendship and it was conveyed very well. Plus, Yamapi as Akira is the best thing ever. Kon Kon.

Gokusen; I love japanese high school dramas and gokusen is the best one out there. It was a bit repetitive in season 2 but then it got better in season 3 and the movie was really good.

Bloody Monday: I think Miura Haruma is a great actor. I love all of his dramas. Bloody Monday kept me on the edge of my seat with every single episode. Every episode had a twist to it which made it more exciting to watch.

One Litre of Tears: this is the only drama in which I cried like crazy in every.single.episode. The fact that it is based on true story makes it sadder. i still cry if I watch a scene from the drama or hear the theme song of the drama.

Orthros no Inu: It was an interesting and unexpected drama. I love mystery action dramas and if you add a bit of supernatural elements to it then it becomes my cup of tea.

Maou: I think Ohno Satoshi is great as an actor and so is Ikuta Toma. I loved the storyline and I loved how it did not have a fairytale all happy ending.

My Boss My Hero: I did not know if I should have included this in the list but still, I loved this show. It was hilarious filled with crack in every single episode. All the characters were so weird and different from each other but they got along well which was interesting to watch.

Hana-Kimi: Oh boy where do I start? This is the show where I realized how amazing Ikuta Toma’s acting was. The story line all the weird characters and the idea of a girl acting a like boy in an all boys school is amazing. I’ve always loved this kind of thing, (Ex: Mulan :) ) Plus, I love Horikita Maki :)

1 Pound Gospel: the only drama in which I can applaud Kame’s acting. he is pretty good but he never actually puts much effort in the characters he plays but in this drama he was really good. It had a unique story line  and the nun was super pretty. :)

Buzzer Beat: this is the only romance drama that i’ve watched and liked in Jdramas. They tend to be very dull and most of the time boring. In nearly all the jdramas I’ve watched, if romance is not the biggest genre in the drama then they dont even have like a proper hugging scene between the characters. ( such as, Kami no Shizuku, kurosagi, liar game etc.) Since this was all about Romance and basketball, I got all the cheesy scenes that I wanted from it. Kitagawa Keiko is one of my favorite actresses anyways and she was really good in this.
